Mario Muttenthaler was appointed as the first Chief Marketing Officer at The Cambridge Satchel Company in June 2014 following the company’s $21m funding from Index Ventures in January 2014.
Mario joined from MRPORTER.COM where as Sales & Marketing Director he was instrumental in the launch and development of the brand. He began his digital career as Online Marketing Manager at lastminute.com in 2001 before he joined NET-A-PORTER.COM as Marketing Manager.
As Chief Marketing Officer Mario is responsible for brand strategy, PR and customer experience on The Cambridge Satchel website as well as acquiring and retaining customers through on and offline channels. In addition he oversees all revenue streams for the business – a global website, 5 retail stores and wholesale partners across the UK, US, Europe and the APAC region.
